Self Serve Most Self Serve car washes consist of a building which has several customer drive-in bays and an equipment room. The customer experience includes a coin operated selection device to select the desired cleaning options and a manually operated high-pressure water "gun" or "wand" attached to a overhead or wall mounted boom. The car wash owner may also have vacuum cleaners or other vending machines related to auto cleaning on the premesis.
Tunnel Wash
Tunnels are a popular form of automated wash facility. A tunnel car wash uses conveyors which move the car through the buiding instead of drive in bays. The wash process is an automated, in-line, step-by-step process. Tunnel car washes are exterior only washes, with either automatic drive-throughs or full-service with an attendant present.
Laser Wash
The LaserWash pioneered the process of electronically washing a vehicle, large or small, by adjusting itslef to provide optimum cleaning distance. Instead of the vehicle moving through the bay on a conveyor (like a tunnel wash system), the LaserWash moves across the parked vehicle on an overhead track at an electronically predetermined distance. The powerful touch free water pressure technology sweeps consistently across the vehicle, covering every inch, even hard to reach surfaces.
